The newer and posher looking out the three restaurants. The other two being Blantyre and Hamilton. This one is a must try. The score is based on the fact I’ve tried alot from here and never disappointed.
All of them have the same menus as I can tell and all have the same quality and experiences.
The bias part being I’ve personally tried a large chunk of their menu. And adding into account in usually with someone here or several. Then I’ve experienced 3/4 the menu. On this occasion I would rate 6/10 but on other items I’ve had its up to an 8.
There usual and famous and must buys are.
- Steak pie (grans favourite)
- Lasagna (sisters favourite)
- Fajitas (mums favourite)
- Southern fried chicken ( mine and dad’s favourite)
- Combo starters (everyone’s favourite)
There is tons of good eating within their pages of the menu. These are the main ones ordered that I’ve seen, heard of and experienced by me and my party’s. The menu is reasonable priced and a few on the cheap side of things. Apart from a few items like steak. But I personally think steak is over priced everywhere. And I always cook my own better.
Before I start on what I had this occasion. I’ll first say this. The staff are always great, the food is always good and the list I provided you should try. The portion sizes are fantastic. A medium steak pie / lasagna is actually big. So the big is monsterous. Especially with the sides. But don’t forget the garlic mayo!
Caledonian Chicken

The Caledonian chicken is a Large Chicken breast with Haggis at the base with a Cheesy Drambuie sauce. The Chicken is beautifully cooked and has some colour to it. It’s also a fair size and juicy inside. The Haggis, I haven’t had any in awhile. But tastes really savoury and somewhat beefy which I furtherely enjoyed. The sauce I’ll admit was ok. Not a massive fan on this occasion. But I did add a considerable amount of black pepper to it and that seemed to have lifted it a little.

Lovely cooked vegetables. Hearty, but soft. Delicious!
Mixed Combo

The mixed combo is supposed to have. Vegetable Pakora, Mushroom, Potato Skins, Garlic Bread with Red Pakora sauce and the absolute amazing Garlic Mayo. Everything tastes pretty good. You can ask for Chicken Pakora and that’s delicious. The best stand out here is the the Veg Pakora for me.
Harry’s Meal

The baby and toddler menu consists of simple things which can be found here. Harry got Haddock fingers, peas and Fry’s which cost around £2.50. He seemed to like it but also seemed to enjoy throwing it on the floor and watching others run around after him. Again the staff where brilliant. Happy to help, patient with Harry and spoke away to Him and us adults.
The baby food was out rapid which was good so we could try feed him some first then cut his items up for him and lay them out. This time he decided to mainly eat his peas and throw the rest on the floor !. This was amusing to him as the man kept coming and sweeping. (Lol) But normally he is a grubber and eats well.
